It takes me forever to get ready in the morning. I have so many morning habits that I need at least an hour and 40 minutes to get ready. Showering alone takes at least 20 minutes. I know, you’re thinking what could she possibly be doing in there? I shave everyday. I have to leave my conditioner in for a while. I exfoliate. I really don’t know why it takes so long. It has gotten worse since I cut out the coffee – kinda my wake up time. I’ve tried to find shortcuts but gave up. I feel really stupid on days when I look like crap. I think “why didn’t I just sleep in?”

Reading a book by an author people raved about (2nd book, I think) and am not feeling the emotional punch, world is interesting. Also reading Christie Golden’s latest Luna book (ebook only, one of the reasons I got a new palm), Under Sea’s Shadow, which is excellent of course.

My greatest accomplishment in the last year has been dropping 25 lbs. We did a Biggest Loser Competition at work and I was able to stay focused enough to lose weight. I am a junk food addict so it was very hard. My partner and I won the team competition. I think the 25 lb loss may have been a little too much but I have put a little back on. I’m at my ideal weight right now so it was something I was very proud of. Diet and exercise are amazing things! I still eat healthier (but I still indulge in the junk food, too).

In the last two years or so, I had completed my collection of the original Claremont/Davis run, right through the end of the “Cross Time Caper.” My original collection, though, was spotty — I began reading the title around when Davis came back and was essentially handling both writing and art chores, and was missing a few issues here and there. I was able to pick them all up (48, 56, 60-61, 64) at a good rate and thus complete everything I am actively seeking for the title. I might pick up an Ellis issue here and there, but otherwise, QED: I’m done.

I haven’t had the heart to check the 3 1/2 hour review I did on the final page proofs. I DO know I missed a choreography problem. I don’t know when, if ever, I will be able to read that book, and I really liked the story and enjoyed the writing of it, though the deadline was such that I’ll never take something that short again.

I’ve decided to see if I can cut much/most of the references to other books. I KNOW people like them, but it might be one of those things that some believe my books from being stand alone. You do NOT need to know the entire history of everyone to enjoy the book.

After two months of ttc, I got pleurisy and actually coughed so much and so hard that I broke 1 rib and cracked 2 more. I was in pain for what seemed like forever. I kept saying I broke a rib but my doc insisted on putting me through every test known to man. My first x-ray didn’t show it but a couple months and a bone scan later revealed the problem. I was so mad that I broke something. Of all my years of being in sports, climbing trees, and just being a kid, I had never broke anything but a finger!
